Arch Gate is a single-shard sandbox MMORPG with souls like 3rd person combat and a unique feature, roleplay-as-a-service. We deploy professional game masters and actors, roleplaying as NPCs, to participate in the events of the game world.
Professional Game Masters direct the game, changing many systems on the fly. Actors roleplay as NPCs. They can also possess monsters or shapeshift and interact with players in many ways.
The story evolves according to actions of players, heavily influencing the world’s history.
Think of it as one big ongoing D&D session.
The community can vote and influence certain events in the game. The options are prepared and implemented by our GMs, with real in game consequences.
The game features action souls like combat with dodging, parrying and many different weapon classes, armors and accessories. Some items are unique in the world or just part of a limited series.
We support VR in 3rd person in a unique way. The world is scaled down, you see your character as 10 inch tall action figure. You can play for hours without discomfort.
Various sandbox systems are designed with deep social gameplay in mind. You can impersonate someone and spy in other player groups and steal their crafting secrets. Lead a double life, selling cheap medicine to new players by day and be an infamous murderer by night.
Some areas are conquerable by force but some require politics and ability to persuade others.
